14 VOLUNTEERS RECEIVE THE SILVER BEAVER

The Longhorn Council’s annual business meeting and awards banquet was held April 25th . Fourteen long-serving volunteers were recognized by their peers and the Council Executive Board for their excellence in service to youth.

One Silver Beaver recipient is especially noteworthy, Helen Luckett. Mrs. Luckett may be one of the very few Boy Scouting volunteers who has received the Silver Fawn (an award for female leaders prior to 1972), the Silver Antelope (the highest award from the Region), and now the Silver Beaver.
