Thank you for your interest in scouting. As a dad of an Eagle scout I know you and your son will have the time of your life in the BSA scouting program . Scouting is a organization that is constantly evolving. I try to keep this site as up to date as possible and I know I wont ever make it. If you don’t find your answer here or you looking to join scouts, email me at email@example.com and I’ll call you or email answers back. Cub Scouting is for youth in the first through fifth grades, or 7 to 10 years of age. Children who are older than 10, or who have completed the fifth grade, can no longer join Cub Scouting, but they may be eligible to join the Boy Scouting or Venturing program. Boy Scouting is for youth 11 to 17 years of age.
This site is mostly used to pass information around for troops and packs and to you may seem a little boring. Most of the adventures that troops and packs have planed can be found at their meetings or on their websites if they have one. I encourage you to go visit a pack or troop. They always welcome visits but I would call the Cub master/Scoutmaster to make sure they are meeting. Most camp every month and a few don’t meet the Monday after a camp out.
Adult leaders are both moms and dads who help make the Scouting program. As a parent join scouts with your son and you and him will make memories he will never forget.
